Terms & Conditions/Privacy Policy/GDPR

Membership

Your membership will allow the quantity of dogs you’ve paid for to attend the pool once per week for the duration of your membership.

You will be able to book a single session every week via your members login area. You may book extra sessions on top of your membership quota by speaking to a staff member or emailing info@splashhounds.co.uk

Our system allows for four bookings per payment (monthly) which will mean that four weeks’ worth of bookings will be missed due to them landing in 5-week months. In these periods, you will book your session with a member of the team or in writing via email.

Each booking will last 30 minutes

If your session is missed without notification or within 24 hours of the start time, it will be lost.

If you inform us 24 hours before the booking that you cannot attend, we will work with you to re-arrange at no extra cost, however due to the volume of bookings we receive you accept that at times this may not be possible.

If your payment is missed, your membership will be stopped.

Cancelling Your Membership

To stop this payment, you must inform us immediately by following our cancellation policy.

Please send your cancellation request in writing to info@splashhounds.co.uk

You are NOT bound by a minimum term and can cancel your membership at any stage, however any outstanding sessions at the point of cancelling will not be refunded.

You have the right to cancel your membership within 14 days from the date you joined. Should you cancel your Membership, proportionate charges will be due. We will refund to you your first month Membership Amount you have paid us but the Membership Amount will be reduced of the individual amount of each session attended.

Whether or not you have used the pool in this period has no impact on our cancellation/refund policy.

Should you choose to re-join in the future, you would be subject to whatever the membership price is at the time of joining, there is no guarantee you’ll be able to re-join on past fees charged.

PAYG

Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will be charged full fee.

Any late arrivals will lose time out of their appointment.

General Terms

Access to the pool will be via a ramp

Your booking time of thirty minutes includes to total time of arrival, completing your swim and exiting. This should mean on average around 25-26 minutes in the pool. Please ensure you always adhere to this to ensure that all customers can maximise time in the pool

When you book you are hiring the pool for a fun swim, please be aware that you are hiring the pool for yourself and your dogs, and there will NOT be a hydrotherapist/lifeguard on duty with you. At certain times there will not be a staff member with you, however, the building will remain supervised, and security features will be active to help keep you safe as well as a one button push call phone to a member of staff.

All dogs over the age of 4 months are welcome; however please ensure that they are fully vaccinated. We also encourage owners to have pet health insurance.

Owners swim with their dogs at their own risk. Please be aware that access into the pool for humans is via a swimming pool ramp.

Children over the age of 11 are welcome to join but must be able swim and stand in 1.1m of water, and they must be accompanied by an adult in the water. A waver must be signed prior to this with a member of staff to acknowledge that the parent remains completely responsible for the child/children accompanying the dog in to the pool.

Sessions are fun swims where you and your dog can splash and play, a vet consent form is not required, however if you have any concerns about your dogs health please consult your vet before booking.

Whilst every care is taken to ensure the safety of dogs attending sessions, all dogs are still the full responsibility of the owner.  Please ensure they are kept on lead at all times unless on the splash deck or in the pool.

We don’t have a set limit of dogs per session. We do however recommend that the owner only brings a number of dogs that they feel comfortable managing and monitoring throughout the swim.  Larger dogs especially may have to take turns on the splash deck to prevent overcrowding on the ramp into the water - this will make the sessions much more enjoyable though!

Due to water intoxication, we encourage owners who use the pool to bring floating toys ONLY, and to ensure all dogs have time to get out of the pool to relax. To find out more about this click here

5 minutes in the pool can be like a dog running in excess of 5-miles. Limit swim time to short bursts if you are not confident in your dog’s ability or fitness.

Splash Hounds reserves the right to use photos and video footage taken during sessions or on the premises.

Please do not feed your dog for at least 2 hours prior to the swim session and ensure they have been to the toilet before arrival.  We encourage you to arrive 10 minutes early so you can walk your dog in the designated area.

Toilet incidents in the pool are rare but do happen from time to time - These can lead to the pool having to close for up to 12 hours.  Bookings will be contacted as early as possible to rearrange their session if this should happen. By following the guidelines above, this scenario is severely limited and unlikely.

If your dog defecates in the pool, please inform a member of staff immediately.

Any fouling on site and around pool side must be cleaned up by the owner, bags will be provided and there are plenty of bins outside of the pool.

Dogs must be relatively clean when attending swim sessions.

Dogs should not react towards humans or have a bite history. If your dog is reactive or has a history of biting please inform us before arriving at the pool so that we can plan for a safe entry and exit accordingly.

Dogs should maintain a distance from other dogs when arriving or leaving.

Splash Hounds reserves the right to refuse entrance to sessions to any dog (and human).

Any action that jeopardises the health and safety of people or dogs will result in the owner being asked to leave. Do not shove, throw, or push dogs into the pool.

When visiting, all persons are to be aware that there are some uneven surfaces and are strongly advised to wear sensible shoes with non-slip soles if possible as the floor can become very wet during swimming sessions.

Splash Hounds cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury to any person dog or personal property whilst on the premises.

Vehicles and contents are parked at owner’s own risk.
